Overview
The coronavirus pandemic and distance learning highlighted the glaring gap of Californians without access to the Internet or proper devices to get connected online. Comcast partnered with FHA to establish and publicize a series of programs throughout the state, including providing community WiFi hubs for free and low-cost high-speed Internet access at home – plus laptops – for disadvantaged families.
Earned media, press conferences, content development, influencer engagement, and paid content partnerships helped effectively reach community members that would benefit from the programs – working to bridge California’s digital divide.
